Photo Contest Winner Announced

Well we must admit we have had an absolutely wonderful time these past three weeks with our inaugural Warm Faces, Warm Places Photo Contest.  With 100 entries in the contest, there was some pretty stiff competition.

This morning we are both excited and proud to announce the winner.  But before we do, we really want to thank everyone that has played a part.  To everyone that voted and ‘Liked” one of the images, to everyone that promoted the works of friends and family, and especially to everyone that entered, we extend a great big Island Art Thank You!  You have let us know that we are not alone in our passions for all things warm and tropical, and you are the BEST fans we could ask for!  Now on to our winner!

The contest was very tight right to the very end, and we thoroughly enjoyed watching all the last minute votes come in.  Between the Blog site and the Facebook Page there were a total of 388 votes cast in the contest.  In fact, in the end the voting was so close, we really couldn’t bear to award just one prize.  So, we will be awarding a second prize to Jerry Goehring for his Photo Entry No. 4: St. John’s Trunk Bay.  These two went toe to toe down to the very last minute last night.  So thanks to Jerry also for a great race.  And for all of his support of Island Art & Treasures, we are awarding him a set of Island Art Stoneware Coasters!
